Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Ein Sara Vegetable oil for frying
How to prepare?
- Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for extra tenderness and flavor. - Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings. - Coat the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each piece thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated. - Fry Until Golden
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 175°C (350°F). Carefully place the chicken into the hot oil and fry for 12–15 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. - Rest and Serve
Transfer the fried chicken to a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with fries, coleslaw, biscuits, or your favorite dipping sauce.
